In a Chichester conservation zone, Momentum’s clients wanted to modernise their chalet-style converted bungalow. By replacing the existing conservatory and reconfiguring the internal spaces, we created a larger kitchen and living area with better connections to the garden. The existing garage was transformed into a fourth bedroom and study, and underfloor heating was installed throughout the home. Considering energy efficiency, solar panels are to be added on the roof along with a ground source heat pump in the garden.

“When we were looking for an architect, we wanted someone young and dynamic. We got that with Jamie, and some! The design Jamie created was just what we had hoped for, and a bit more as we never imagined the glass corridor that was designed and we ultimately built. The home we now have is a wonderful, light and usable space. One relative said that “everything is perfect, the only mistake we made was not going on Grand Designs”! We love everything about what we have built. There were a couple of hiccups along the way. A change of design required a bat survey which added 3 months and extra costs to the build. We also had to get retrospective approval for the heat exchanger, including providing a noise assessment which Jamie was able to sort. For both issues, Jamie helped without complaint, and we got the problems sorted. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie.” - Mark
