The design Jamie created was just what we had hoped for, and a bit more as we never imagined the glass corridor that was designed and we ultimately built. The home we now have is a wonderful, light and usable space. One relative said that “everything is perfect, the only mistake we made was not going on Grand Designs”! We love everything about what we have built. There were a couple of hiccups along the way. A change of design required a bat survey which added 3 months and extra costs to the build. We also had to get retrospective approval for the heat exchanger, including providing a noise assessment which Jamie was able to sort. A shift in perspective and location alike, his degree saw him study both home and abroad — acquiring a postgrad (and a diverse design outlook) in Suzhou, China. Mastering an English and international point of view, he designs buildings for a broader scope — realising the potential of properties across a multitude of scales and sectors. Pacey in nature and nimble in practice, Jamie’s forward-thinking approach moves buildings closer to their future in the present - meeting briefs and exceeding expectations at every project touchpoint.
